Eugene Pester DDS, FADSA
Dr. Pester is uniquely qualified for his current role as a Dentist Anesthesiologist at Apex Sleep Dentistry. Between dental school and anesthesia residency, Dr. Pester founded both a private dental practice and a publicly supported Community Dental clinic. This experience allows him to be very comfortable with a wide range of patient type as well as providing anesthesia for broad range of dental services.
After completing a hospital-based anesthesia residency, Dr. Pester established and sold both an office based anesthesia (OBA) dental practice and a fully certified dental ambulatory surgical center (ASC). He maintained the mobile anesthesia practice, Apex Anesthesia Services.
Dr. Pester is proud that all the practices listed above are still actively treating patients and serving their intended missions. The knowledge that Dr. Pester acquired establishing these diverse practices has given him an expertise in the intersection of dentistry and anesthesia as well as the intersection of private and publicly funded healthcare that is rare.

Gregg Liedtka, DMD
Dr. Liedtka grew up in San Antonio and is a proud Texan. He attended The University of Texas at Austin where he received a BA in Psychology, and then moved to the northwest where he studied dentistry at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. He has been practicing dentistry for 17 years in Oregon, eastern Washington, Moses Lake, Spokane and has spent much of his career helping the underserved and migrant community in our area. Dr. Liedtka lives in Spokane with his wife and daughter and enjoys spending time with his family and the great outdoors.
Robert Brucker CRNA, ARNP
Mr. Brucker earned his Associate Degree in Nursing from St. Mary’s College School of Nursing in O’Fallon, Missouri in 1975. His nursing career consisted of emergency room nursing at the local hospital in his hometown of St. Charles, Missouri.
Robert was accepted into the Barnes Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia affiliated with the Washington University School of medicine – St. Louis, Missouri in 1978, and graduated with the Anesthesia Certificate in 1980.
For the next 40 years, Robert administered anesthesia at several acute care hospitals in several states to a wide variety of patient ages – 6 weeks to 99 years old.
In 2017, Robert received additional training at the Cascade Hypnosis Center in Bellingham, Washington and earned certification as a Certified Hypnotist, registered in the state of Washington.
Robert lives in Spokane along with his wife, Denise. Over the last few years, Robert has provided anesthesia for two medical missions in Kebbi State, Nigeria.
Mr. Brucker joined Apex in 2020 and has been providing the same level of skilled anesthesia that he provided for years in the hospital setting. He travels throughout the state of Washington providing high quality and safe anesthesia services to patients in several dental offices. He shows the same level of compassion to all his patients.
Robert is certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) and is a Member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and the National Guild of Hypnotists.
Tobias Johnson CRNA, ARNP
Apex Sleep Dentistry welcomes Tobias Johnson, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia services. A native of Germany, he earned his Masters of Anesthesia Education in 2015 from Gonzaga University. He moved on and provided anesthesia services for four years in Spokane prior to his employment at Apex. He is certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA). Tobias continues to provide high quality, evidence-based anesthesia services to a diverse patient population. Tobias is a certified registered nurse anesthetist with over ten years of nursing experience in critical care, including: post-operative thoracic surgery, heart failure, heart transplant, interventional cardiology and trauma. He has experience in the administration of general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care for general surgery, ENT, thoracic, cardiac, vascular, pediatric, neuro, trauma, orthopedic, oral surgery, special procedures, plastic surgery, GU and OB cases on all ASA classifications
